Through the Fog

Looking at the fog covered mountain reminded me of something, my goal. Right now I sometimes feel like I'm living in a state of fog. Only able to know a small portion of what lies ahead. Everything else is simply black and unknown. Being at school has been different, somewhat like I've imagined and yet so very new at the same time.
Life has been very wonderful. At last I have a sister that sleeps on the other side of the room. And even more close by. Giggles and more giggles echo out of the windows late into the night. Friendly teasing make one feel very at home. Teasing may look like its disliked but on the contrary I love it. By the way did you know Ramon Noodles grow in NE? You may harvest beef or chicken.
Jesting isn't the only spirit lifter. When a person who failed their English placement test told me of their 48% score I felt ever so much better.
Feeling good can't always be. Giggles from tiny lips ring in my ears making me wish they were close by. An opportunity to just to talk with my parents is longed for. The bond that only siblings have is longed for. Moments like this make me sad to the point of tears. Then I wonder why.
Why am I here? Eleven hours away from home, possibly missing the holidays because of the awful distance. Other reasons swirl through my brain but I silence them. Right now I live in a haze of fog not knowing what will come with each new day. However I can see the top of the mountain. The triumph of finishing a school year and finishing it in God's strength. I cannot see the way through only a few steps ahead. God does so I will only follow knowing He will take me to the top.
I remember this truth and let it wash away the hurt. My family will always be missed but even they are far God is so near. Just this thought makes me smile as I proceed into another day of very fun and random collage life.

More from NE

Sadly you may not see much writing around here for awhile. Papers and more papers and on very deep subjects will captive my mind for the next few months. I do hope to escape to the dreamy writing world of "Anne" every so often though. However will try and put up some pictures. Starting with a few from my stay in NE

A poor little fawn that lots its way.

My aunt and her first grandbaby.

Just too sweet.

Selah

The Lord is my Shepard

I shall not want

He makes me lie down in green pastures

He leads me beside still waters

After a week of completely new, scary, and exciting experiences. My soul found rest in these words last night. God is by my side. For that I'm very thankful. Only He knows the noise of my heart. I shall rest in that, forever.

Life in Nebraska

Life of late has been lots of fun. Outings and cooking every day certainly leaves little room for complaining. Take a peak into my life in NE. More pictures here.

I got to see the famous OmahaZoo. I was very exited and I can't wait to got again. Although I must say its quite a feat pushing wheel chairs up those hills:)
Oatmeal Pies, very good but not so good for the waistline.

We walked to Iowa and over the river by way of the new bridge.

Modeling my new outfit for you mom. I love the way you tailored the blouse.

Life in Someone Else's Kitchen

Life has been quite busy lately. Packing up nearly all your earthly belongings does take time. Shopping is quite fun but even I grew weary after 4 trips in a week.

Staying at my aunt's has been a welcome relaxing experience. Two of my cousins are staying here as well this month and I get to help take care of them (they have disabilities). Much to my delight I've been doing lots of cooking. Graciously I'm allowed to make whatever I fancy. Naturally I couldn't be happier. Everything I'm assured is good and we take lots of walks to keep our figures trim:) Being me though there have been some blunders...

I picked up the delectable looking chocolate pie my aunt had made for the church potluck. Thinking all the while perhaps some else more graceful should carry this. Safely the pie arrived to the van and carefully onto the floor. Quite soon the pie wasn't quite so lovely for it received a rude implant from my sandal. Gladly there was a very sturdy plastic lid or I'm not sure the pie would have graced the table.

The very next day I passed the cookies and half of them slid onto the table. Good thing nobody asked for the milk:)

Baking cookies was I when I broke the measuring cup. Not 5 minutes later I broke the spatula. Later I scratched the baking sheets!

Honestly I don't try to be so hard on things. Gadgets never break at home. Well I suppose my mixer doesn't work as because it's been dropped so much. But you know sometimes accidents just happen.

I think I'd just be happier of they happened less. Perhaps I won't say that so far no one has fallen ill from my cooking. Because you never know that could be tomorrows blog post:)
